This article explains in detail Jamaican Road Traffic Code, which is consists of parts of the Traffic Act and the Motor Vehicles Act. The Traffic Code is designed to regulate every act within the road traffic act. They are classified under provisions relating to pedestrians, pedal cycle riders, motor vehicle operators and drivers. The definition of pedal cycle means a bicycle, tricycle and any other multiple-seat vehicle equipped with pedals and having a saddle and handlebars. (f)A person must not stop or park within 50 metres of a stop line or traffic lights unless there are special reasons to justify stopping or parking within that distance.(g)A person who has committed an offence will be taken into custody if he or she refuses to provide his or her name and address when requested by a police officer.(h)Any vehicle parked facing the wrong way on a one-way street will be taken away by the police. (i)A person must not drive a motor vehicle within 50m of a railway crossing.(j) A person who has committed an offence will be taken into custody. (k) A person who has committed an offence will be taken into custody if he or she refuses to provide his or her name and address when requested by a police officer.
